what we do
We curate creative workshops to facilitate dialogue and encourage cultural humility in people from all walks of life.
We teach culturally-responsive classes at Ilisagvik College focusing on creative engagement, cultural education, and wellness.
who we are
I'm Aaluk Edwardson, the founder and director of Creative Decolonization. I'm Iñupiaq and Norwegian and was born and raised as an Iñupiaq woman in Utqiaġvik, Alaska.
I am a creative and cultural professional who writes, directs, performs, teaches and facilitates meaningful experiences to support individual and community wellness.
My favorite part of what I do is connecting with people. I believe the world can be a kinder place and am here to support that work from creative and cultural understandings.
